Welcome to Fair Coast Goods.

We make small batch, limited edition products in our Chicago shop using leather, canvas, cotton, and other natural materials. With help from our Consew 206RB industrial sewing machine and a wall full of tools, we cut and stitch each of our product designs.

we are proud of the useful things we make.

They are simple. They are durable. They have been crafted with precision and care. They will develop character with age and use.

We founded Fair Coast as a way to channel creativity and passion and patient work. Eric grew up on the industrial coast of the Great Lakes, surrounded by people who proudly made U.S. steel, American bridges, Schwinn bicycles, and other useful things. He spent ten years honing his creative instincts as a magazine writer and editor. He loves the relentless maker's cycle: imagine, create, edit, improve. Kellie’s childhood had more than its fair share on innovation and adventure. From West Coast travels to the modern design of her family's Ohio home, strong and straightforward were core concepts. These elements—strength and utility—still shine through her work and interests.

We’re glad you found us here.
